It was very emotional at the King Mswati III International Airport this afternoon as more students arrived from Ukraine.
A Parent at the airport expressed deep appreciation to Government for getting their children home safely. “The Minister was with us at the most difficult and vulnerable moment in our lives. I have not slept since the war started because I was scared for my child. I thank Minister Thuli Dladla and her staff for being available 24 hours a day to take our calls and for going beyond the call of duty to get our kids out of Ukraine.”
One of the returning students said “ it was the worst nightmare of my life. We were lucky that our government was proactive in getting us out. Our school mates are still stuck there. I can’t believe that I’m really home. I thank God.”
