Newly-appointed Deputy Chairman of the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) Reverend Sipho City Tembe was today sworn in.
Sibandze Reverend Tembe was sworn in together with the new Commissioner Mrs Rejoice Ncamsile Ndzinisa. The swearing in comes after an announcement of their appointment was made by the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs Pholile Shakantu on Wednesday.
The appointments were made in terms of section 90 of the Eswatini Constitution.
Conducting the swearing in ceremony was Assistant Attorney General Ndabenhle Dlamini who first explained the meaning of the oath they were about to take. He further highlighted their responsibilities in terms of the constitution.
In attendance at the ceremony was the EBC Head of Secretariat Khombisile Dlamini, Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs Lindiwe Mbingo and Under Secretary Gugu Nsibande. After their swearing, in the Deputy Chairman and Commissioner paid a curtesy call to the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs Pholile Shakantu.
