Buffaloes edge closer payday as they prepare to face Highlanders

Undefeated Young Buffaloes will hope to edge closer to the first round E100 000 ‘carrot’ when they host Mbabane Highlanders on Saturday at Mavuso Sports Centre.

The army side now needs at least four points in the last two games against Highlanders and Seven Dreams to clinch the first-round incentive. They currently enjoy a three-point lead over their nearest challengers, Green Mamba.

Buffaloes, who are the only side yet to lose a game this season, currently have collected 25 points after seven wins and four draws in 11 games. The Buffaloes/Highlanders clash will be the main match at Mavuso Sports at 3:30 pm with the Manzini derby pitting City rivals, Denver Sundowns and Moneni Pirates raising the curtain at 1:30 pm.

According to a fixture released by the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE), all premier league games will be played on Saturday in different stadia across the country.

A doubleheader is also slated for the Prince of Wales where Manzini Sea Birds will cross swords with Madlenya FC at 1 pm then bottom-loggers, Manzini Wanderers will be hoping to record their second win of the season when they face another relegation-threatened side, Seven Dreams in the main match at 3:00 pm.

Meanwhile, the MTN National First Division league game between Kappa Kappa and Rangers FC is set to be postponed following the untimely demise of the club owner, Mayiwane Member of Parliament, Gcina ‘Shebeleza’ Dlamini who passed away on Monday morning in a fatal car crash.
