Buffaloes day of reckoning looms

By Lwazi Dlamini

Unbeaten MTN Premier League log leaders, Young Buffaloes will have a date with destiny when they take bottom-loggers, Seven Dreams at Mhlume Stadium on Saturday.

The army side needs a win against the struggling premier league rookies to be crowned champions of the first round, taking home the E100 000 incentive having not lost a game this season.

The clash is set for a 3:45 pm kickoff at the modest sugar-belt venue. Buffaloes nearest challengers, and fellow security forces rivals, Green Mamba, who are just one point behind, will be facing unpredictable Tambuti FC at the same time at Mayaluka Stadium.

According to the fixture programme released by the office of the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) Chief Executive Officer, Kenneth Makhanya today, a doubleheader is slated for Sunday at Mavuso Sports Centre.

Moneni Pirates will face Manzini Sea Birds in a mini-Manzini derby at 2:00 pm before Mbabane Highlanders cross swords with Royal Leopard in a 4:00 pm kickoff time clash.

The other doubleheader will be staged on Saturday at Mayaluka where Madlenya FC hosts Mbabane Swallows in a curtain raiser at 1:45 pm before the Green Mamba/Tambuti FC encounter.
