Man arrested for stealing E200 000 worth of vehicles

Officers from the Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) have arrested a man who is alleged to have stolen two vehicles valued at E200 000.

32-year-old Wandile Sabelo Mnisi of the Ngculwini area allegedly stole two vehicles on December 17, 2022, at Waterford belonging to Mabandla Nxumalo.

These were a grey Toyota Fortuner valued at E150 000 and a red BMW valued at E50 000. Upon arrest, Mnisi was charged with contravening Section 3 (1) of the Theft of motor vehicle Act 16 of 1991 as amended.

Appearing before Magistrate Xolile Nxumalo, the crown applied that Mnisi is remanded back to police custody pending committal at the High Court. He is set to return to court on February 6 for remand.
