The Food Hut Restaurant vandalised

By Ntombi Mhlongo

The popular eatery, The Food Hut, has become the latest establishment to be vandalised after its Mbabane branch had its main door smashed by unknown people.

As a result, customers were not able to buy their favourite meals in the morning as the restaurant, situated at the Checkers Mall, had to be closed. The management issued a statement on its social media pages where it notified its customers about the setback.

“This morning, we found our door smashed. We currently have police on the scene and will keep you updated when we will open for business. We apologise for the inconvenience,” the management said in the statement.

It then issued another statement just after 11 am whereby it not only thanked customers for their unwavering support but also announced that it was to start taking orders from noon.

“We hope the culprits will be found and apprehended before they do further damage to other businesses,” said the management.

Chief Police Information and Communication Officer Superintendent Phindile Vilakati confirmed that a case was reported and that the police were investigating.
