Not only are they working on a new highly anticipated project, musos Sands and Afrotraction are also preparing to perform in Eswatini on February 25.

The announcement was made by local musician Sands, real name Sandziso Matsebula on his socials. So far, Sands has held back on the other details of the show, but he only encouraged his fans to save the date and wait for details later on.

“Save the date, 25 February Eswatini, Live performances,” he said. It was recently announced that the two are working on a project to be released in the month of love. According to a report by Mpumalanga News, the love musos are set to embark on tours in Mpumalanga and Eswatini.

It was reported that Mzwandile Moya (Afrotraction) who is also a songwriter and music producer and Sands were recently at Redamancy Studios in Mbombela cooking up a storm with a collaborative project titled ‘Assurance’.

The publication reported that both musicians were excited to reveal that the song would be released soon and that more projects with the two of them together were coming up. Sands was reported to have said the music scene in Mpumalanga and Eswatini is growing massively.

“It is only advantageous for us to cement the music relations between these neighbouring places. It is a beautiful song, and the start of something great to come,” Matsebula said.

He also added that 2023 was a year of restoration in his music career.

“This project is my first one this year, and I am glad to say more are coming. This is the time to make music, collaborate with more musicians and uplift upcoming artists,” he said.

Afrotraction, who is popular for his hits including ‘Mnike’ is not the first artist to collaborate with Sands since his massive hit track ‘Tigi’ catapulted him into stardom. He has also collaborated with Loyiso Bala on ‘Ndimtholile’ and Tshepo Tsola on ‘Ngiyathandaza’.
