The Government of Eswatini, through Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo, has reacted strongly to an audio that has gone viral, directed at Deputy Prime Minister Themba Masuku.

The circulating audio, according to Nxumalo, is not only making allegations against the DPM but is also threatening the lives of security officers.

Nxumalo in his statement said the audio was made by Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini who is wanted in the country for various crimes.

Dlamini and his publication have also been declared terrorists by the government. He is accused of fueling the instability in the country and perpetuating the violence and killings that have been experienced in Eswatini.
