Thousands descended at Hlane Royal Residence to take part in the second leg of the annual Buganu Festival.

The people in attendance included emaSwati from all walks of life and people from other countries. The throngs of people started arriving on Friday at the royal residence and women from different companies
and non-profit-making organizations presented Buganu and other gifts to Her Majesty the Indlovukazi.

Dressed in their colourful emahiya, the members of the lutsango also displayed their dancing skills in front of Her Majesty and other members of the royal family. Those who presented gifts yesterday included a group from Mozambique who said they were excited to be part of the ceremony and to be able to pay allegiance to Their Majesties.

Saturday marks the second day of the festival and the ceremony will end on Sunday. This was the second leg of the festival, as the first leg took place at Buhleni Royal Residence two weeks ago.

The women danced in front of Their Majesties in the afternoon and they are also expected to be addressed by His Majesty King Mswati III and the Indlovukazi.

Excitement was written on the faces of the attendees. The festival also presents a good business opportunity as many companies and other small businesspeople had set up their stalls, selling their wares.
