Having been admitted to bail, Matsanjeni South Member of Parliament (MP) Bomber Mamba made his first appearance in the fifth Session of the 11th Parliament.
Ever since Parliament was officially opened by His Majesty King Mswati III on February 17, 2023, the MP has not been attending the sittings following his arrest.
He was recently admitted to bail by High Court Judge Cyril Maphanga. The legislator was admitted to E30 000 bail but was ordered to pay E10 000 cash and provide surety for the balance.

The MP’s bail conditions included that he had to surrender his travel document or other valid international documents to the investigating officer at Hlatikhulu Police Station.
He was warned that pending the finalisation of his matter, he should not apply for a new passport or travel document. The MP was also warned to report monthly in person at the charge office at Hlatikhulu Police Station between 8 am and 4 pm.
At the beginning of the sitting at the House of Assembly, Deputy Speaker Madala Mhlanga made a formal announcement to the MPs that he was welcoming the out-on-bail MP.
The deputy speaker informed the legislators that the MP had visited his office as per the rules and was allowed to attend the sitting. This did not deter Sithobelweni MP Bhekitje Dlamini from standing up to seek clarity on the matter.

Dlamini asked to know if all procedures had been followed before allowing the MP inside the House. In response, the deputy reiterated his words that he had welcomed the MP into the House and that he could not say anything further.
Mamba and his co-accused, who include his grandson are facing charges of attempted murder, kidnapping and, except for the MP, common assault in that they are alleged to have attempted to kill a man, by assaulting him on January 15, 2023.
They are alleged to have also assaulted another man several times with bush knives.
