The Ministry of Home Affairs has extended operating hours for Matsamo, Mahamba, and Mananga border posts during the Easter holidays.
In a statement, the Principal Secretary of the Ministry, Nhlanhla Nxumalo stated that these are the only border posts whose operation hours have been extended, the rest will operate normally.

From April 6 Mahamba border will be operating from 7 am until midnight, April 6-7 Matsamo will operate from 7 am to 10 pm, and Mananga from 7 am to 8 pm from April 6-8.
“The Ministry understands that during this period there is an increase in travellers’ movement leaving and entering Eswatini, hence our fully equipped mobile office will be deployed especially to Ngwenya Border Post to ensure efficient service delivery. People will not wait longer than expected through the checkpoint,” reads the statement.

The ministry stated that its goal is to provide excellent customer service delivery in a corrupt-free environment.
“Moreover, part of the delivery is minimizing undocumented travellers as well as those possessing fraudulent documents.”
