His Majesty King Mswati III left the country on Tuesday afternoon to take part in the Transform Africa Summit in Zimbabwe.

His Majesty is left through the King Mswati III International Airport and is accompanied by Inkhosikati LaMatsebula. The King is also expected to open the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair in Bulawayo.

The Transform Africa Summit, according to their website, is Africa’s leading annual forum bringing together global and regional leaders from government, business, and international organizations to collaborate on new ways of shaping, accelerating, and sustaining Africa’s ongoing digital revolution.

Following five successful editions, the sixth Summit will take place at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. It will run under the theme “Connect, Innovate and Transform”, Transform Africa Summit, and aims to enable Member States to become more competitive, agile, open, and innovative smart economies.

The website states that it is an opportunity for meaningful engagements on how governments can attract large-scale investments and enable fast growth and exports as well as for the private sector to thrive in an innovation and ICT-driven entrepreneurship ecosystem, hence transforming African nations into smart societies.

The proposed connectivity session during the Transform Africa Summit for digital transformation aims to discuss the importance of connectivity in achieving digital transformation in Africa, share best practices, and explore opportunities for collaboration.
