Good discipline and carrying out duties meticulously were one of many compliments given by His Majesty King Mswati III to the Umbutfo Eswatini Defence Force (UEDF).
The UEDF was on Friday commemorating its 50 years of existence and further conducting the pass out of this year’s army recruits, which last happened in 2018.

The King encouraged the country’s soldiers to not falter or be distracted, stating that they should always be cognisant of their supreme calling. His Majesty said it was heart-warming to constantly receive good news about the army’s cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, which he said demonstrated teamwork.
“Every investor in the world is looking to invest in a country where there is peace and security. We, therefore, encourage our soldiers to continue with their good work of fighting all types of criminal activity that can deter entrepreneurs from having the appetite to consider the kingdom as one of their investment destinations,” said the King.

It was further revealed that a member of the UEDF had been deservedly selected to be the chief of staff for the Planning Element of the SADC organ.
The King was also pleased with the various projects implemented by the UEDF including the manufacturing of their uniforms and the success of the various army clinics nationwide.
