‘Do not be discouraged by network disruptions’ – ESCCOM

ESCCOM has assured the nation that there would be no disruptions during the national elections.

ESCCOM Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mvilawemphi Dlamini said that even though there had been a few network disruptions during the nomination stages, the nation can be assured that they have addressed them.

He mentioned that even though they were the ones responsible for the communications in the country, they were happy that EPTC was now ventured into the fibre market.

“Copper theft has been the biggest disrupter of communication in the country and it is pleasing to know that the country was now moving towards fibre which cannot be stolen,” he said.



Dlamini stated that as a commission, they also had a department within, Universal Access and Service, which had ensured that over 45 communities now have access to the internet.

“Through this department, we can bring free internet connection to most outskirt communities and ensure that the whole country is fully connected,” he said.

The CEO further encouraged emaSwati to participate in these ongoing national elections.

“The people that will be elected here will be for you and they will represent all that you need as a nation. So go in there and select the right people to represent you,” he said.
