Results from the Special Voting exercise conducted on Tuesday at Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre have provided a flicker of hope for some prominent candidates to emerge as winners on Friday after they amassed the highest number of votes on Tuesday.

Some of the popular candidates who emerged victorious are veteran journalist and Rubicon Media Group Managing Editor Alec Nhlanhla Lushaba under Hhukwini Inkhundla who got 127 votes, outclassing Nkhanyeti Ngwenya (115 votes), Mlondi Dlamini (10 votes) and Khulekani Dlamini (8 votes).

Under Mbabane East Inkhundla, another veteran scribe, Welcome Siyabonga Dlamini got 134 votes, beating Lucky Dube who got 112 votes, Majojo Mamba got 60 votes and Sandile ‘Nkomishi’ Ginindza gathered 55 votes.

Another renowned personality who is so far leading in his Inkhundla is MP candidate Sipho Sibandze under Manzini South Inkhundla. The former Mbabane Highlander defender and Matsapha Councillor got 76 votes, beating former minister Owen Nxumalo who got 61 votes, Robbie Makhanya (57 votes) and Thandi Motsa (42 votes).

At Sigwe Inkhundla, David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala is cruising back to Parliament as he got 125 votes outclassing his competitors Phila Dlamini who got 90 votes, Wonder Dladla who collected 8 votes and Condom Dlamini who got 2 votes.

1. Welcome Dlamini                     –   134 votes
2. Lucky Dube                                –   112 votes
3. Majojo Mamba                          –   60 votes
4. Sandile Ginindza                       –   55 votes

Sigwe Inkhundla MP Special Voting Results
1. David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala –   125 votes
2. Phila Dlamini                              –   90 votes
3. Wonder Dladla                           –   8 votes
4. Condom Dlamini                       –   2 votes

Manzini South Inkhundla MP Special Voting Results
1. Sipho Sibandze                          – 76 votes
2. Owen Nxumalo                          – 61 votes
3. Robbie Makhanya                      – 57 votes
4. Thandi Motsa                             – 42 votes

Kwaluseni Inkhundla MP Special Voting Results
1. Sifiso Shongwe                         – 126 votes
2. Celumusa Mbingo                    – 106 votes
3. Simeon Simelane                      – 96 votes
