The Malawian side dented the national team’s semi-final hopes with their five-star performance during the second Group A clash played at Dobsonville Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Temwa Chawinga bagged four goals on the day, while Sabin Thom had a brace during the first half.
Carolyn Mathyola and Rose Kabzere netted a goal each on the day when Sitsebe had a bad day in office.

The local lads paraded its top players such as Mazwi Dube, Celiwe ‘Cece’ Nkambule, Tenanile Ngcamphalala, and Simangele Sikhondze who failed to come to the party.

The Zwelibanzi ‘Botsotso’ Khoza-led side’s semifinal hopes are now slim as they have to beat hosts Banyana Banyana to keep their chances on Tuesday in their last group match.

Malawi opened their campaign with a 4-2 win over the hosts, while Sitsebe got the better of Madagascar with a 2-1 score margin.
