In a thrilling match that kept fans on the edge of their seats, Wanderers secured a late victory, snatching all three points from Ezulwini United.

The hub giants eager to bag the first maximum points of the new season showed their resilience and determination with a stunning 90th-minute winning goal.

It was a game of two halves, with Ezulwini United dominating the first half. Msizi Zwane, displaying his brilliance, opened the scoring for Ezulwini United after 35 minutes of intense play. The Ezulwini United team showcased their teamwork and skill, allowing them to push forward and take control of the game.

However, the second half saw a different story unfold. Wanderers determined not to go down without a fight, surged forward, and managed to secure a late equalizer in the 75th minute. Their versatile captain, Mlamuli ‘Mlaba’ Nkambule, stepped up to the penalty spot and confidently converted the chance, leveling the playing field. Unfortunately, Nkambule had to leave the field due to an injury.

With the game seemingly heading for a draw, Sphamandla Dlamini emerged as the hero of the day. In the dying moments of the game, he capitalized on a golden opportunity and stole the three points from Ezulwini United as he headed home a cross.

This victory marked Wanderers’ first maximum points of the season, providing them with a solid foundation to build upon. Wanderers fans erupted with joy as their team celebrated this hard-fought victory.
