The anticipation is building in the entertainment circles as the date for the highly anticipated Makoti Festival has been revealed.

On April 27, 2024, the third edition of this annual event will take place, promising an unforgettable experience for attendees.

While the venue and lineup of artists are yet to be confirmed, organizers are working tirelessly to ensure that this year’s festival surpasses all expectations.

The previous edition, held at the Malkerns Country Club on April 22, 2023, left a lasting impression on thousands of fun-loving individuals in attendance.

The Makoti Festival, organized by New Life Entertainment in partnership with the Illa Penboy Foundation, aims to promote Eswatini culture and celebrate modern women. Whether married or unmarried, the festival embraces all women and young girls who aspire to be proud makotis in the future.

Last year’s festival was a spectacle of music, fashion, and empowerment. Headlined by the electrifying South African artist, Sjava, the stage came alive as he mesmerized the crowd with his Zulu regalia, perfectly embodying the festival’s theme.

Joining him were other renowned South African artists, including the legendary Maskandi performer, Shwi, and the soul-stirring gospel artist, Hlengiwe Mhlaba.

The festival also showcased local talents, such as Floewe, Mvelo, DJ Cup, DJ Master P, and DJ Zoe, who kept the energy high throughout the event. The master of ceremonies, Mzwakhe Khumalo, skillfully guided the audience through the festivities, ensuring a seamless and entertaining experience for all.

Beyond the music, the Makoti Festival offered an array of fashion and food stalls, providing a platform for local entrepreneurs to showcase their creativity and culinary skills. From traditional attire to contemporary fashion trends, the festival celebrated the diversity and beauty of women from all backgrounds.
