Dr Shakes, Ndosh WebeNguni set for epic chowing showdown

It is set to be a side-splitting showdown as local comedy legends, Dr Shakes and Ndosh WebeNguni, prepare to engage in an epic eating competition at the Cypress Basket.

This highly anticipated event, scheduled for January 27, 2024, promises to be a feast, both literally and figuratively. The Cypress Basket, renowned for its delectable cuisine and vibrant atmosphere, will play host to this double birthday celebration for the comedic duo.

Dr Shakes and Ndosh WebeNguni, beloved for their hilarious punchlines and quick wit, will now put their gastronomic prowess to the test. The challenge is no small feat – the comedians will be tasked with devouring an entire unchopped chicken, accompanied by four rolls and a refreshing litre of cold drink.

In an exclusive interview with Ndosh Webenguni, he revealed that he has been diligently preparing for this monumental event.

He said he has been following the Daniel fast, abstaining from meat since December 26, 2023, to prime his stomach for the impending gastronomic clash. Confident and ready for the challenge, Dr Shakes expressed excitement, assuring fans that this competition will be a spectacle to remember.



He extended gratitude to Cypress Basket for organizing such a unique and thrilling event. He emphasized that he is not only representing himself but also his hometown of Mbabane. Determined to emerge victorious, he has even embarked on a rigorous exercise regimen, determined to conquer the “Goliath of Manzini.”
