The Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Bongani Nzima has bid farewell to an Eswatini culture troupe and local artist M Nation, who will be going to India for the Surajkund International Craft Mela Festival.

The farewell was done at the Ministry’s boardroom on Monday afternoon. The artists will leave Eswatini on Tuesday. The Minister expressed pride in the talented artists who will be representing Eswatini on an international stage. He commended M Nation and the culture troupe for their dedication and hard work in promoting Eswatini’s rich cultural heritage.

The Surajkund International Craft Mela Festival is a prestigious event that showcases the artistic prowess of various countries. M Nation expressed excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to perform in India. “This is a dream come true for me. I am grateful for this chance to showcase my talent on a global platform,” he said.

The 37th edition of the festival will be held on February 2–18, 2024, at Surajkund, Faridabad. The cultural troupe and M Nation will tour India for 19 days. Their participation in the festival will not only promote Eswatini’s cultural heritage but also foster cultural exchange and understanding between nations.

The Surajkund International Craft Mela Festival is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere, showcasing a wide array of crafts, music, and cultural performances. Visitors can immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of global traditions, witness captivating folk performances, and indulge in the flavors of diverse cuisines.
