Renowned South African DJ and traditional healer, Gogo Skhotheni, left fans disappointed after failing to make an appearance at Matamza’s highly anticipated event at Ekhayeni Chillaz in Eswatini on Friday night.
However, she took to social media on Saturday morning to extend a heartfelt apology for her absence.
In a video message, Gogo Skhotheni expressed deep regret for missing the event, attributing her absence to missing her flight due to unforeseen circumstances at the airport.
“I would like to send my sincere apology to everyone from Eswatini, especially the event organisers who booked me. I missed my flight as a lot happened at the airport. I would love to apologise for that,” she conveyed.

Despite the setback, Gogo Skhotheni reassured her fans of her commitment to making it up to them.
“I would love to make it up to everyone who came and showed their love and support. I am sorry, from the bottom of my heart. I would love to make it up to you one day,” she promised.
Acknowledging the efforts of the organisers and the support of her fans, Gogo Skhotheni hoped that the incident would not sour relations between the public and the event coordinators. “I hope to see you guys very soon. Thank you so much for your support,” she concluded.
Gogo Skhotheni was set to grace the stage at local DJ Matamza’s upcoming event at Ekhayeni Chillaz on Friday night. The event saw performances from DJ Yeka, Malemon and the event’s headliner, Matamza.

The night also featured an array of talented supporting acts including Zulu D, Sgitha, The Bishops, Sbu Drum DJ, Bavarah, Tilungu, Mixmash, Black Pearl, Fantacy, Expo, Drum Rhythm, and Resident DJ.
