In a gladdening display of corporate social investment (CSI), Infracast, a leading manufacturer of precast concrete products, has donated E140,084.04 worth of access control facilities to the Philani Maswati Home for the Elderly in Mantjonga.

Melusi Mndzebele, Infracast’s Managing Director, presented the donation, highlighting the company’s commitment to giving back to the community. “This contribution forms part of our ongoing CSI efforts, and we are honoured to support Philani Maswati in their mission to care for our senior citizens,” he stated.

The Mantjonga Elderly home previously faced challenges with livestock encroaching on their property due to a lack of fencing. This limited their ability to cultivate vegetables and other produce, impacting their dietary options and self-sufficiency.

Lutfo Dlamini, Chairperson of Philani Maswati, expressed his profound gratitude for Infracast’s generous donation. “With this new access control system,” he said, “our residents can finally cultivate vegetables and other crops without worrying about livestock destroying their produce. This opens doors to a more self-sufficient and healthy lifestyle for our elderly residents.”
