Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla says the MTN Bushfire continues to play a pivotal role in shaping Eswatini’s cultural landscape and fostering international cooperation.
The 17th Edition of the 2024 Bushfire festival will take place from May 31 to June 2 at Malandelas in Malkerns.
Speaking during the launch of the 2024 Bushfire Festival, Dladla said hosting this event is not only a celebration of the country’s cultural heritage but also an enduring spirit of creativity and unity that defines emaSwati as a people.
She further noted that consisting of a vibrant celebration of arts, music, culture, and community, drawing participants and visitors from across the globe the MTN Bushfire is a truly unique experience.
However, this showcase is not solely about entertainment, one of the defining features of the festival is its commitment to social change and community development.
Through workshops, discussions, and interactive experiences, the festival aims to promote dialogue on important social issues such as gender equality, environmental sustainability, and cultural diversity.
“As we embark on this journey of celebration and discovery, let us embrace the transformative power of the arts to inspire, educate, and uplift communities.

The DPM further stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Russell Dlamini, the government of Eswatini is committed to ensuring that the country thrives as a beacon of cultural diversity and artistic expression.
Therefore, the government intends to promote the arts and nurture nascent talent in Eswatini and beyond, “as we inaugurate this year’s MTN Bushfire and embark on a journey of cultural enrichment and celebration.”
