His Majesty King Mswati III has returned from a brief visit to the Republic of South Africa, where he engaged in a private meeting with President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Most significantly, His Majesty also took the opportunity to meet with Igor Bely, the Ambassador of Belarus to South Africa.
Reports from the Embassy’s social media page (X) suggest that the Kingdom of Eswatini is keenly interested in harnessing Belarus’ expertise and technologies in the realms of agriculture and food security.

The monarch, accompanied by Inkhosikati LaNkhambule, landed at the King Mswati III International Airport around 8 pm local time, marking the conclusion of his diplomatic mission.
During his time in South Africa, His Majesty held discussions privately with President Ramaphosa, the details of which remain undisclosed to the public.
The private meeting follows that of President Cyril Ramaphosa to the Kingdom of Eswatini on April 3 where the two Heads of State held private talks at Lozitha Royal Residence.
The nature and scope of the discussions hint at matters of bilateral importance between Eswatini and South Africa.
Eswatini and South Africa share a dynamic relationship characterized by historical, geographical, and socio-economic ties. Historically, the two countries have maintained amicable relations, rooted in shared cultural heritage and a history of cooperation.
