The Foundation, dedicated to improving the lives of residents, is set to receive a dairy cow, a full-time Social Worker, indigenous and fruit trees, and warm blankets for the elderly from the office.

Dladla revealed that her office would replace the Foundation’s dairy cow, which tragically fell ill and passed away, which will ensure that the occupants of the home continue to have access to fresh milk.
Additionally, the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office shared that it would contribute a full-time Social Worker to support the community’s social welfare needs.
Dladla expressed gratitude for the support that the home receives and also unveiled plans for her family to donate a television screen to the centre, which will provide entertainment and relaxation for the elderly residents.
She commended Infracast for their contributions, including the provision of gates, while also urging them to consider installing pavements for improved accessibility.
The Deputy Prime Minister’s visit comes in response to an invitation extended by the Philani Maswati Foundation Board over a week ago.
During her visit, Dladla toured various initiatives aimed at enhancing community well-being, including a dam constructed by the Ministry of Agriculture for irrigation purposes.
She also inspected the newly constructed two-story building facilitated by the Micro Projects Programme, which has invested over E5 million in constructing three structures to support the Foundation’s mission.
Chairperson of the Philani Maswati Foundation, Lutfo Dlamini, expressed the significance of the centre, attributing its inception to the visionary leadership of Her Majesty Indlovukazi.
He revealed Her Majesty’s vision of establishing similar centres across all four regions, along with plans for a school and a clinic.
The late Chief Malamulela’s allocation of 40 acres of land at Dvokolwako for the centre’s establishment was highlighted during the DPM’s visit to the elderly home.
However, Dlamini lamented the challenges faced by the Foundation, including damage to the perimeter fence by local residents and the subsequent intrusion of livestock into the centre’s premises, leading to the destruction of produce.
