South African musical sensations Anzo and Olefeid Khetha gear up to headline the highly anticipated Grand Saturdays, presented by Upscale Live.
Scheduled to take place on May 4, 2024, at SibaneSami Hotel, the fifth edition of Grand Saturdays is shaping up to be an unforgettable affair, offering a diverse range of activities to cater to a wide audience.
From live music performances and DJ sets to comedy shows, poetry readings, and even PlayStation gaming sessions, attendees can expect a day filled with non-stop entertainment and excitement.
Families and children are in for a treat as the event boasts a lineup of dedicated kids’ activities, including water slides, swimming pools, jumping castles, jungle gyms, face painting, and trampolines.
With something for everyone, Grand Saturdays are set to be a day of fun, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Joining Anzo and Olefeid Khetha on stage are a host of talented acts, including Young Zesh, Lyrikal Busta, Sean Cast, and Histo. Comedy enthusiasts can look forward to hilarious performances by Gedlembane,
Bongiswa & Darren, while poetry lovers will be treated to the captivating words of the multi-award winning Christian Maz. Keeping the energy high throughout the event will be DJs such as Sbu De Drum DJ, Trend Twins, and DJ Citie, among others.
In a recent interview with Upscale Live director, Sibusiso Simelane, he expressed their enthusiasm for the upcoming event, highlighting its family-friendly nature and focus on supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and emerging artists.
Simelane emphasized that Grand Saturdays aims to provide a platform for both established and up-and-coming talents to shine, offering a refreshing alternative to the typical DJ-centric events.
“The event’s concept was born out of the reason that most events are DJ-centred, so we wanted to have an event that would give the shine to artists,” he said.
Andile Ngubeni, known by his stage name Anzo, is a rap artist whose passion for performing and writing has catapulted him into the spotlight.
With roots in the South African Hip-Hop scene since 2007, Anzo’s talent and dedication have earned him accolades such as winning the 2015 Back To The City 10K Challenge.
His debut LP, ‘Indaba Yam,’ released in 2015, showcased his lyrical prowess and musical creativity, solidifying his place in the industry.

On the other hand, Khetha Olefied, an emerging sensation in the South African Hip Hop industry, brings a unique blend of traditional African rhythms and contemporary hip-hop sounds to the stage.
With a focus on storytelling and addressing social issues, Khetha Olefied’s music resonates with audiences, offering a voice to the marginalized and unheard.
Their expressive tone and memorable hooks have quickly garnered them a loyal following and established them as a rising star in the music scene.
