This year’s Cabinet has been given a thumbs up in the country’s rural areas.

When His Majesty appointed Russell Dlamini as the new Prime Minister when he closed the Sibaya People’s Parliament, he made it clear that he needed a Cabinet that could run as fast as possible as the country was afflicted with poverty and disasters.

Residents of Nkiliji and Mtfongwaneni are already singing praises to His Majesty King Mswati III for the ‘SITSI NKWE’ commission as they are already seeing and benefitting from its fruits.

Sitsi Nkwe’ is a Siswati idiom denoting speed and was pronounced by His Majesty during the Sibaya Peoples’ Parliament, where he stressed the need to induce speed into the country’s public service delivery mechanisms.

“I didn’t have a mobile phone on that day, I could have taken a photo but I swore I was dreaming during the day when I saw the Deputy Prime Minister, Thuli Dladla and a team from her office visiting some of the most distraught, homeless residents here in Nkiliji,” said Bucopho Simo Magagula.

Previously, according to Bucopho Magagula, seeing ministers or Government employees at far remote areas was a rare sight.

“People in my constituency at Kukhanyeni are without words as we speak about the type of Cabinet, the King has blessed us with in our time.

I am returning for a second term as Bucopho but all I can say is that it is like its my first time now as some of the things people required,” the bucopho stated.

Magagula highlighted that the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (DPMO) has already assisted 5 homeless residents in the construction of houses.

“It is very encouraging to see Government officials here in the most rural areas and most recently we had the visitation of the Minister of Public Works, Ndlaluhlaza Ndwandwe who was checking out the terrible road we use here at Kukhanyeni,” he pointed out.

It is not the people of Kukhanyeni alone who happen to be singing praises to His Majesty King Mswati III for his speed commission.

Eswatini Daily News (EDN) spoke to Mtfongwaneni Constituency’s Legislator, Nathi Hlophe who is popularly known as Mdockies, a name he acquired while at his previous place of employment at the Eswatini Broadcasting and Information Services (EBIS).

“Angizange ngikubone lokunje! Seeing a Deputy Prime Minister arriving in a far remote area like Mtfongwaneni, offering a motherly comfort to the residents and also lending a helping hand to the distraught after the storm ravaged their homesteads most recently,” lamented MP Hlophe.

Hlophe went on to state that the people of Mtfongwaneni are very thankful to His Majesty’s commission which is a testament of his love for the people of Eswatini.

“Many people were assisted by the DPM, Thuli Dladla led Government team which has already seen many people getting accommodation structures.

It is my first time to be in Parliament, but I have this feeling that Eswatini is taking a right direction towards achieving the First World Status,” the MP pointed out in an interview yesterday.
