The Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini has expressed profound sadness over the tragic incident that unfolded in George, Republic of South Africa.

Reports emerged of a devastating collapse of an under-construction five-storey building, resulting in the loss of approximately 33 lives, with 29 individuals sustaining injuries after being rescued from the rubble.

“We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of about 33 people in George, Republic of South Africa, after an under-construction five-storey building collapsed on the 81 workers constructing it and left 29 injured after they were pulled out of the wreckage,” said the Prime Minister on his statement.

The incident has cast a shadow of mourning not only over South Africa but also across the region, which has prompted heartfelt condolences from the Kingdom as well.

The Premier conveyed sincere sympathies to His Excellency President Cyril Ramaphosa, the Government, the entire Nation of South Africa, and the families and friends of the deceased during this harrowing period.

In the statement, the Prime Minister also extended wishes for a swift recovery to those injured in the tragedy.

“We would like to express our deepest condolences to H.E President Cyril Ramaphosa, the Government, the entire Nation of South Africa, and families and friends of the deceased during this difficult time and wish speedy recovery to the injured,” he stated.

The Premier has further expressed hope for the successful rescue of any individuals still trapped beneath the debris.

“We remain hopeful that more people will be pulled out of the wreckage alive,” he added, emphasizing a collective desire for any potential survivors to be found and aided swiftly.

In a similar statement, the Prime Minister Russell Dlamini has expressed profound sadness over the tragic incident in Mumbai, Republic of India, where a massive billboard collapsed.

Resulting in the loss of 14 lives and injuring 76 others. The Prime Minister extended sympathies to President H.E Droupadi Murmu, the Government, the entire Nation of India, and the families affected by the devastating event.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with President H.E Droupadi Murmu, the Government, the entire Nation of India, and the families of those who have passed on during this difficult time.

Remarked Prime Minister Dlamini. “We pray for speedy recovery to the injured and trust that the Almighty God will give them comfort during this trying time,” he added.
