DPM’s Office hosts successful Central Agency Advocacy meeting

The Deputy Prime Minister’s office (DPMO) recently convened a half-day Central Agency Advocacy meeting at the Sibane Sami Hotel in Ezulwini,

Which was a gathering that was designed for showcasing the major contributions of the office and strengthening essential relationships with key government ministries.

According to a statement shared the the office, the event saw the participation of ministries including Economic Planning, Finance, and Public Service, all of whom are said to have pledged their continued support for the office’s initiatives.

Officials from various ministries at the Central Agency Advocacy meeting hosted by the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office.

The meeting highlighted the commendable work undertaken by the Deputy Prime Minister’s office and provided a platform to address some pressing challenges.

According to the statement, the office’s team faces several obstacles, particularly due to financial constraints that have necessitated reliance on external partners such as UN agencies.

One major issue discussed was the shortage of operational vehicles, a critical resource needed for the efficient functioning of the team’s community services.

The office called for addressing this shortage as a priority to ensure that community needs are met promptly and effectively.

Staffing emerged as another significant challenge. DPMO asserted that the office’s dedication to delivering high-quality services requires an increase in personnel, and efforts are underway to identify and implement solutions to strengthen the team.

Also funding for programming was said to remain a critical concern. DPMO expressed that adequate financial resources are essential for the execution of impactful programs, and the meeting highlighted the need to explore various avenues to secure necessary funding.

Again, the issue of office space was also on the agenda.

“As the team continues to grow, there is an urgent need to expand office facilities to create a conducive working environment that supports productivity and collaboration,” reads the statement.

Moreover, it was revealed that security for social workers is top priority for the office.

“Ensuring the safety and well-being of those on the front lines of community service is crucial, and the office is actively seeking solutions to provide the necessary security measures,” said the Deputy Prime Ministers Office.
