Young Zesh’s ‘Lwandiso’ album hits over 50 000 plays

Arguably the best local artist currently, Young Zesh’s latest album ‘Lwandiso’, has taken Eswatini by storm, garnering over 22,000 views on Spotify and more than 31,000 plays on YouTube since its release on May 3, 2024.

Regarded as one of the most promising artists in the kingdom, Young Zesh expressed his gratitude for the enthusiastic reception of his music, emphasizing the unprecedented support shown by emaSwati.

The album’s success has not only been reflected in the numbers but also in the heartfelt feedback pouring in from listeners who have been captivated by the authenticity and relatability of ‘Lwandiso’.

Praising the support of his fellow EmaSwati, Young Zesh remarked, “I do not remember the last time emaSwati supported a local artist like this.”

He highlighted the enthusiasm shown by fans, who have been actively engaging with the music on social media and showering the album with love and appreciation.

Among the standout tracks on the album, ‘Sivumeleni’ featuring Nomndayi and Tribal Guru has emerged as a fan favourite.

Young Zesh expressed his excitement for the positive response to the music and promised to promote each song on the album by sharing videos of himself vibing to the tunes.

The decision to create visuals for ‘Ungangikhaleli’ stemmed from Young Zesh’s deep-rooted desire to visually portray the heartfelt narrative and personal journey encapsulated within the soul-stirring song.
