A 34-year-old man appeared in bandages on Monday before Magistrate Innocent Motsa. The accused person is charged with the offense of murder.
In that, upon or about May 21, 2024, and, at or near, Motshane area in the Region of Hhohho, the said accused person did wrongfully,
unlawfully, and intentionally stab one Paul Paya Mkhwanazi with a knife several times all over the body, inflicting fatal wounds from which the said Paul Paya Mkhwanazi died of and thus commit the said offense.
When appearing before the Magistrate, with no show of emotions or empathy, Mciniseli Mabuza of Motshane under Chief Shongwe, the accused was remanded back into custody.
He will appear again on June 7, 2024. Bail was not granted to the accused. The crown moved for an application allowing the accused’s blood samples to be taken.

Under the criminal investigation under section 342(1) (2) of the Criminal Procedure and Evidence Act No 67-1938), the accused was further informed that should he refuse or fail to permit any specimen to be taken from him for analysis in terms of this section,
they shall be guilty of an offense in terms of section of this Act and on conviction, liable to a fine not exceeding E400 i and in default of payment there of imprisonment not exceeding 12 months or both such fine and imprisonment.
The items seized from the accused when the murder took place were shown in court and they were ordered that the items be kept at Mbabane Police station until such time that they have been dealt with according to Section (5) of this Act.
These items were a silver knife, a black sweater with hood, a pair of brown half boots, 2 Sjamboks, a red pipe, blue jean trousers and a brown jacket with hood.
Meanwhile in the same court, Phinda Mtsetfwa, 47 years of age from kaNcesi, was Chief Masila and was charged with the offense of theft by false pretenses.
In that, during the month of November 2023 and at (or near) Mbabane town in the Hhohho Region, the said accused person did unlawfully and intentionally make a false representation to one Musa Maseko that they
would help him get safety boots in exchange and did thereby means of the said misrepresentation obtain from him money amounting at E1000.00, the property of or in the lawful possession of the said Maseko and thus commit the said offense.

In the second count of the six counts, the accused person is charged with the offense of theft by false pretence again.
In that, during the months of February and March 2024 and would at Mbabane town in the Hhohho Region,
the said accused person did unlawfully and intentionally make a false representation to one Nomcebo Mdaka that they in the case would help her to get a job.
Thereby means of the said misrepresentation, he obtained money amounting to E4900.00, the property of or in the lawful possession of the said Mdaka and thus committed the said offense.
In counts 3, 4, 5 and 6, the said accused person is charged with the offense of theft by false pretence.
On that, on February 17, 2024, and at Msunduza in the Hhohho Region, the said accused person did unlawfully and intentionally make a false representation to one Nomzamo Phakathi that they would help her
to a get a job and thereby means of the said misrepresentation obtain from him money amounting at E500.00, the property of or in the lawful possession of the said Phakathi and thus commit the said offense.
He did the same with Thabisile Phakathi so that they would help her to get a job and did thereby means of the said misrepresentation to obtain from him money amounting to E4,206.00, the property of or in the lawful possession of the said Phakathi, and thus committed the said offense.

The said accused person is further charged with the offense of theft under false pretence in that or (about) the month of March 2024 and at (or near) Mbabane town in the Hhohho Region, the said accused person did unlawfully and intentionally a false representation to one Thandiwe Mthombo that they too will help her to a
get a job and did thereby means of the said misrepresentation obtain from him money amounting at E3300.00.
He did the same to Zinhle Dlamini during the months of February and March 2024. The accused person did unlawfully and intentionally make a false representation to they would help Zinhle Dlamini get a job and did
thereby to means of the said misrepresentation obtain from him money amounting, committed E3600.00, the property of or in the lawful possession of the said plaintiff, and thus committed the said offense.
