New Nsingizini Hotspurs sponsors, Triomf has offered to take one of the outstanding players for the team to an unnamed top Israel side for trial stint during the off-season period.

Triomf, a company established in Eswatini in July 2014 pride itself on being a dynamic entity that boasts with innovation and expertise in the agriculture sector with experience in soil testing,

tractor and implement sales, fertilizer blending, organic and granular fertilizer distribution, pesticides, agronomy and agribusiness consultancy services.

The offer to take one of the players to Israel for trials was revealed by Nsingizini Hotspurs President Derrick Shiba during the club’s End-of-Season awards held at the RDA hall in Hluthi on Sunday.

“One of our new sponsors, Triomf, is preparing to take one of the payers for trials in Israel and Israel, just like Saudi Arabia has a good league which is growing and well sponsored.

Even though no name was mentioned, informed sources within the club have confirmed that Thubelihle Mavuso, who walked away with the Player’s Player and Player of the year awards, is the one who will be given the opportunity to try his luck.

The talented left footed attacking midfielder took home E14 000 plus an E2 500 voucher from Embiveni Meats and a weekend get away at Wendy’s Lodge in Siphofaneni.

Nomfundo Bhembe is Nsingizini Hotspurs Ladies team’s best

While twinkled-toed Thubelihle Mavuso was the main winner in the male category, Nomfundo Bhembe was also named the Player’s Player and ‘Player of the Season’ for the ladies’ team.

She took home E6 500 plus a weekend away at Wendy’s Lodge. The award for the ‘Most Disciplined’ player went to Nomphilo Dlamini who got E2 500 plus an E1 500 voucher at Waste Centre in Manzini.

Sibahle Sikhondze got herself E2 500 for winning the ‘Most Committed’ player award. Smile Marks, daughter to former Denver Sundowns midfielder Wicky.

won the ‘Golden Boot’ award after netting 16 goals, taking home a sum of E2 500. The ‘Golden Glove’ award went to Nomphilo Dlamini who took home another E2 500, taking her riches to E5 000.

Under the B-Team, Bandile Mamba won the ‘Most Improved’ player award and walked home with E500 while the ‘Player of the Year’ award went to Njabulo Mamba who received a sum of E1 000.

Under the A-team, Nkosinathi Shiba won the ‘Most Improved’ plyer ward while the ‘Player of the Year’ award went to Sanele Siziba who received a sum of E1 500 for his efforts.

Mhlanga, on a parting shot, said they will continue supporting the Shiselweni-based outfit going forward.

Another sponsor, Sphambanweni Milling also paid tribute to Nsingizini Hotspurs for the success of the 2023/2024 season.

Football needs people like Derrick Shiba – Minister’ Sikhumbuzo

The Minister of Tinkhundla and Administration Sikhumbuzo Dlamini has lauded Nsingizini Hotspurs President Derrick Shiba for his astute administration which has seen the club grow in leaps and bounds.

Dlamini, a former Board of Directors member of the club, was one of the invited guests during the End-of-Season award ceremony held at RDA Hall in Hluthi on Sunday.

“Shiba took me to be part of the Board and gave me a chance to be part of the brand after I had lost elections and what he has achieved with the club shows that football needs people like him.

A football club is very expensive to run, and we applaud his family for allowing him to lead the club,” Dlamini said.

The minister said it is about time sports were professionalize in the country but “still we would need ethical leadership with vision to achieve success,”

Representative of supporters Sabelo Maziya from the Siteki Branch said Nsingizini Hotspurs has brought a new vibe in football.

“There is vision, structure and direction in the club which is what attracted me.

To the players, we say rest assured we will be there for you, and we are looking forward to next season,” he said.
