Sihlangu head coach Dominic Kunene says the squad is ready to face Angola in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Kunene said this ahead of the squad’s group D clash against the 2006 FIFA World Cup finalists on Friday afternoon at November 11 stadium.

“We are looking forward to the match and the mood is high in camp. Every player is fighting to be in the starting XI. We will put up a good fight throughout the match,” he said.

Meanwhile, the squad captain Sifiso Matse said they would do their best to make the country proud during the assignment.

“We have done all the necessary preparations for the match, and we want to use this match to redeem ourselves from the previous two losses,” he said.

The 20-member squad comprises two international players in Mxolisi Mkhonto (Jwaneng Galaxy, Botswana) and Lindo Mkhonta from Zesco United, Zambia).

The senior national team will take on Mauritius on June 11, 2025, in their fourth group D match of the global showpiece qualifiers.
