South African DJ Mordä has been replaced by the renowned Kwesta in the lineup of the highly anticipated fifth edition of The Epic Gig.
This unexpected change was officially announced by The Epic Gig’s Communications Officer, Loyce Kayitesi-Kayitare, adding an exciting twist to the festival’s star-studded roster.
Mordä, originally included in the phase 2 lineup release, found himself being pulled from the event due to scheduling conflicts.

Loyce shed light on the situation in an interview, explaining that Mordä had committed to another gig just two weeks after confirming his slot at The Epic Gig.
Despite an initial agreement to be exclusively booked locally for June, Mordä’s change of heart led to a mutual decision to part ways.
With the festival set to take place from June 28 to June 30, 2024, at the picturesque Malkerns Country Club, attendees can still look forward to an unforgettable experience filled with three days of sensational performances by a stellar lineup of artists.
Headlining the event are musical powerhouses like uSimamane, Emtee, Nkosazana Daughter, Maglera Doe Boy, and Aubrey Qwana, promising a diverse and eclectic musical journey for all in attendance.
As the excitement builds for this epic weekend of music and celebration, early bird tickets are currently available at Howler, presenting a fantastic opportunity for eager fans to secure their spot at the festival.
