‘Ballers’ will be in action during the winter season.
The Basketball Eswatini will host the Winter tournament on June 29, 2024, at Usuthu Forest Indoor Hall.
The tournament will feature local male and female teams under the auspices of the mother body (BASE).
BASE Competitions Committee Chairman Thando Nxumalo said registration for the tournament is now open.

“We are looking forward to the winter tournament which will feature both male and female players.
Teams will have to pay E750 per team and we are still working on other logistics of the tournament.
We look forward to an exciting event aimed at keeping teams busy and we are still working on other local competitions which we will announce in due course,” he said.
Other local tournaments include the Mula Sport Women’s League and the Trade Fair Tournament.

Nxumalo also announced that they were staging a school tournament in preparation for the 2024 Confederation of Southern Africa School Sports Association (COSSASA) slated for August in Zimbabwe.
Basketball will form part of Team Eswatini during the regional school tournament.
“We will be having a legged school tournament where we will select the junior national team for the COSSASA games scheduled for August in Zimbabwe.
We urge players to make good use of this opportunity so that they can be part of the National team,” he said.
