Ministry of Home Affairs Principal Immigration officer Zodwa Mkhwanazi has declared Denver Sundowns defender Jimoh Moses as an illegal immigrant in the country.
Mkhwanazi made this during her submission at the dragging protest between Manzini Wanderers and Denver Sundowns held at Sigwaca House on Saturday.Â
The witness further maintained that the Nigerian defender had no work permit during the last MTN Premier League between the hub giants and the ‘Kappa boys’ which was played on May 19, 2024, at Somhlolo National Stadium.Â

Wanderers lost the match by 4-2 which relegated them from the MTN Premier League together with Sundowns. Mkhwanazi further told the Eswatini Football Association Disciplinary Committee that Moses and his employees (Sundowns) had allegedly failed to collect his work permit from the ministry which was processed on September 15, 2024.
While cross-examined by the applicant (Wanderers) lawyer Thabiso Fakudze, Mkhwanazi told the Disciplinary Committee that Moses’ work permit became null and void after he allegedly failed to collect it on November 26, 2023, as per procedures of their immigration department.Â
Meanwhile, Sundowns Laywer Zakhele Dlamini maintained Moses had a valid one-year work permit which will expire on October 31, 2024.

The matter was held before EFA DC Chairman Thulani Nsibandze.
Other present members of the DC included Macebo Nxumalo, Thando Kunene and Secretary Lynette Howe who stood on behalf of Xolile Fakudze.
Wanderers are represented by four members in Bongani ‘Bhanyaza’ Mdluli, Mduduzi ‘Tsotsi’ Mabila, Thabiso Sifiso Jele while Zakhele Dlamini represents Sundowns.
