Kasolo Shula Henry, a 53-year-old Zambian from Johannesburg Royce Road Randburg plot was remanded out of custody until August 8, 2024.

The accused person is charged with the offence of Contravening section 4 (1) as read with subsection (76) and section 89 of the Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism Act of 2011.

In that on June 21, 2024, at or near Ngwenya Border in the Hhohho region, the said accused person did unlawfully and intentionally possess a sum of R125 050.00 which had or was likely to have the effect of concealing, investing, managing,

disguising, disposing the aforesaid amount knowing or having reasonable grounds for believing the same to be proceeds of crime and thus the accused person did contravene the said act.

Meanwhile, Section 43(1) and (2) of The Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism (Prevention) Act of 2011 (AS AMENDED) was applied in the detention of the money.

The exhibits seized are money in cash totalling R125 050.00 in denominations of R200, R100 and R50.

The arresting officer said he was satisfied based on an application made before me in terms of Section 43(1) and (2) as read with Section 53 of the Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism (Prevention) Act of 2011.

“And whereas I’m satisfied further that these items were seized from the above-mentioned person and suspected to have been used in the perpetration of the above-mentioned offence unlawfully in connection with the above,” he said.

Meanwhile, in the same court, Welile Hlophe 29 of the Hlatsi area under Chief Maphungwane was charged with the offence of theft and shoplifting.

That on June 21, 2024, at Ngwenya Shoprite Liquor Shop in the Hhohho Region, the said accused person did wrongfully, unlawfully, and intentionally steal various items valued at E1524.97 the property of or in the lawful possession of Lungile Dladla and thus committed the said offence.

The stolen items include two gentleman jacks and one Jack biscuit. She was sentenced to 2 years in prison or a payment of E2000 in fine.

Duo Melusi Dlamini 26 of Luhlendlweni and Elliot Dlamini 74 of Lunhlendlweni were charged with the offence of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

That on April 15, 2024, at Lohlendliweni area, in the Hhohho region, the said accused persons each or both of them arriving jointly in furtherance of a common purpose did wrongfully, unlawfully and intentionally assault one Zwelihle Phiri with a stick once on the head and thus committed the said offence

In the second count, the duo was charged again with the offence of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

In that upon or about April 15, 2024, at or near the Luhlendlweni area, in the Hhohho region, the said accused persons each or both of them acting pointedly in furtherance of a common purpose did wrongfully, unlawfully, and intentionally assaulted one Petros Gama with an iron rod once on the chest and thus

On June 23, 2024, at the new Four-Square traffic lights, the said accused the driver of motor vehicle XSD 934 BM,



A BMW sedan wrongfully and unlawfully drove the said motor vehicle along Jekwa Public Road whilst under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drug having a narcotic effect (alcohol content 1.11mg/l) and exceeded the legal limit of 0.38mg/l and thus contravened the above-cited Act. He was fined E2000 or 10 months in prison.
