World Vision Eswatini (WVE) has been recognized for its exemplary adherence to Eswatini’s tax laws, receiving a prestigious award from the Eswatini Revenue Authority (ERA) at the ERA’s Client Appreciation Day 2024 ceremony, held last Friday.

The organization was honored as the Highest Contributor under the Medium Segment, Other Services Activities, highlighting its commitment to compliance with the country’s tax and customs laws.

National Director Tinah Mukunda accepted the award on behalf of World Vision Eswatini, expressing the organization’s excitement and pride.

“It was such a momentous and heartwarming time to receive the recognition and award. We remain committed to comply with the country’s tax and customs laws,” Mukunda said.

She emphasized that upholding compliance standards is a core foundation of WVE, a practice the organization has maintained consistently for over 30 years in Eswatini.

Mukunda credited the organization’s Board of Directors, particularly its Audit and Risk Committee, for their role in ensuring compliance.

“The Board has an oversight role of the non-governmental organisation’s operations. The Audit and Risk Committee oversees management compliance with the laws and regulations of the country, including tax compliance,” she noted.

World Vision Eswatini has been at the forefront in the country with their poverty alleviation programs.

The organization has recently expressed that they have spent over E4 million assisting in education and that they are still helping emaSwati with water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) programs.

Through such, the organization has successfully assisted several schools in the country.
