E50 million Tibiyo TakaNgwane Poultry Project historical

His Majesty King Mswati III inaugurated the Dalcrue Chicken Project at Dalcrue Farms today. The E50 million project, owned by Tibiyo TakaNgwane, aims to produce 1.4 million chicks per year in state-of-the-art, environmentally controlled broiler houses.

The project, in its first phase, has created jobs for 14 full-time employees and aims to expand the Dalcrue Chicken Project across the country, earning commendation from His Majesty King Mswati III.

Addressing the attendees, His Majesty expressed his optimism about the project’s potential to not only boost the country’s economy but also empower the younger generation with farming skills and ideas.

He encouraged the youth to utilize the project as a viable model for learning and developing their agricultural abilities.

“The Dalcrue Chicken Project in Eswatini emphasizes environmentally controlled broiler houses, demonstrating the country’s dedication to sustainable farming.

The project ensures optimal bird growth and welfare by providing ideal conditions for poultry farming, including regulated temperature, humidity, and ventilation.

This commitment reflects Eswatini’s focus on responsible and efficient agricultural practices,” the King said.

The King stated that not only does this modern approach to poultry farming guarantee a consistent supply of high-quality chickens,

but it also aligns with global standards of animal welfare and contributes to a healthier and safer food production system.

Moreover, the Dalcrue Chicken Project’s expansion plans hold the promise of creating numerous employment opportunities across Swaziland.
