The Embiveni Biggest Braai event this past weekend was a resounding success, attracting over 7,000 emaSwati who came together to celebrate food, culture, and community spirit.

Organized by the Philani Maswati Charity Organisation, the event not only highlighted the culinary delights of Eswatini but also stood as a testament to the power of unity among its citizens.

Lutfo Dlamini, Chairperson of the Philani Maswati Charity Organization, expressed his gratitude and excitement regarding the unprecedented attendance this year.

“This year’s turnout is the first of its kind, and we are thrilled to see such an enthusiastic response from the community,” he stated.

“The support we received reflects the love for our culture and the importance of coming together to celebrate it.”

 

One of the highlights of the event was the meat provided by Eswatini Meat Industries, a key partner in the festivities.

Dlamini noted with pride that “not even one attendee of the Embiveni Biggest Braai complained or was made sick by consuming the meat.

 

” This marked a significant achievement for the organizers and vendors, demonstrating their commitment to providing quality food and a safe environment for all participants.

The atmosphere at the Embiveni Biggest Braai was vibrant, with attendees enjoying a variety of grilled meats, live music, and local entertainment.

Families and friends gathered around the braai pits, sharing laughter and stories while indulging in delicious culinary offerings, from traditional Eswatini dishes to contemporary favourites.

As attendees savoured the flavors of Eswatini, the event also raised funds for various charitable initiatives supported by Philani Maswati.

The organization is dedicated to addressing critical issues in the community, including health, education, and poverty alleviation.
