Local CAF envoys Nsingizini Hotspurs is set to have a week camp in the Western Cape before their CAF Confederation Cup return leg against Stellenbosch FC.

The Shiselweni-based side will travel to the Western Cape after the first leg match after their preliminary round first leg match to be played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on August 17, 2024.

The return leg will be played on August 24, 2024, possibly at the Cape Town Stadium

The green and white outfit and CAF Champions League participants Mbabane Swallows have been forced to use alternative venues due to the CAF ban on the Somhlolo National Stadium and Mavuso Sports Centre which was imposed in 2018.

Nsingizini Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Banele Ngobe confirmed the latest updates when reached for comment.

Nsingizini Hotspurs new signings with club Boss Derrick Shiba and head coach Alexis Sergion.

“The team won’t return home after the first leg match, instead we will travel to Western Cape to prepare for the return leg,” he said.

The team recently held its preseason camp in Durban where they played against three South African sides Royal AM, Maritzburg United and ABC Motsepe side Umkhambatsi FC.

The back-to-back MoMo Cup champions have enlisted the services of two assistant coaches in Zimbabwean Effort Marindakgomo and former Manzini Wanderers assistant coach Mpendulo Mawelela.

The two coaches are both assistants to head coach Alexis Sergion.

The green and white ensemble recently made a couple of signings such as Khanyakwezwe Shabalala, Neliswa ‘Tiger’ Dlamini, Bongiswa Dlamini, Innocent Dlamini, Ayanda Mayeyane, Luyanda Nhlengetfwa, among others ahead of the new season kick-off in August.
