In a recent incident that has shocked the St. Theresa’s High School community, a viral video depicting a grave bullying and assault scenario within the school’s ablution facility has surfaced on social media.
The School Committee, on behalf of the Grantee, the committee and the St. Theresa’s High School, in a press statement acknowledged the disturbing event and assured all stakeholders that immediate action is being taken.
“The school is deeply concerned about the incident and is conducting thorough investigations to establish the root cause of the bullying and assault.
The safety and well-being of all students are of utmost importance, and the school is committed to ensuring that such incidents do not occur again in the future.
Appropriate disciplinary measures will be applied to all those responsible for the distressing behaviour captured in the video,” the school clarified in the statement.
According to St. Theresa’s High School, they are known for their dedication to empowering the girl child through academic excellence rooted in Christian values.

The school emphasizes in the statement the importance of collective hard work and respect for the rights of every individual student enrolled.
Moreover, it stated that the school promotes values such as honesty, truthfulness, self-discipline, trustworthiness, and reliability among its students.
“The school community is coming together to address this unfortunate incident and uphold the values that St. Theresa’s High School stands for.
The administration is working closely with relevant authorities and stakeholders to ensure that appropriate action is taken to address the situation and prevent any future occurrences of bullying and assault on school grounds,” the statement said.
The school pointed out that it remains committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for all students, where they can excel academically and grow into responsible, compassionate individuals.
“The school encourages open communication and collaboration among students, teachers, parents, and staff to foster a culture of respect, understanding, and support for one another,” the statement further said.
It is worth mentioning that as the investigation into the bullying incident continues, the school is urging students to come forward with any information or concerns they may have so that appropriate measures can be taken to address the issue effectively.
“St. Theresa’s High School is determined to learn from this experience and strengthen its efforts to promote a culture of kindness, empathy, and inclusion within the school community. In times of adversity, the true character of a community shines through,” the statement reads.
