In a heart-wrenching incident, on the morning of July 30, 2024, the Lukhetseni area was rocked by a horrific incident involving the brutal murder of a 29-year-old woman from Phuzumoya.
Impeccable sources have disclosed to Eswatini Daily News (EDN) that the couple had just returned from the Royal Eswatini Police Station at Siphofaneni in the Lubombo Region as they had an undisclosed dispute with each other.
The sources, however, revealed that the couple were renting a flat at a place called Mabhubukwane, also in Siphofaneni area.
The Police Information and Communication Officer, Senior Superintendent, Phindile Vilakati, the victim was discovered with gashed wounds on her neck, head, left arm, and right palm.

The perpetrator, a 32-year-old man from Othandweni, has since been apprehended and is set to face justice before the Siteki Magistrate Court.
This is turning out to be a telenovela as not so long ago, a woman was strangulated to her death at kaNcesi, an area under the Hhohho Region.
Her crime was refusing to enter into the home of fiancée which sparked the dispute which subsequently led to her brutal death.
The suspect is said to have attempted to end his life, however, the relatives stopped him on his tracks and he was promptly arrested by the REPS.
Also, at Ndlinilembi, another woman was burnt with a hot iron to her death while another one was found lying with open wounds at Mbekelweni, an area in the Manzini Region.
Meanwhile, on the same day in Lavumisa, authorities arrested a 41-year-old man from Malelane, South Africa, for a concerning case of illegal firearm possession.
The suspect was found in possession of a 9mm pistol and 13 live rounds of ammunition concealed in a black bag in the boot of a VW Polo at the Lavumisa Border Gate.
This arrest has raised alarm among residents and law enforcement officials due to the potential dangers associated with unlicensed firearms in the community.
The Lavumisa Police acted swiftly in apprehending the suspect, and he is scheduled to appear before the Nhlangano Magistrate Court to face the charges brought against him for the unauthorized possession of the firearm and ammunition.
