Mbabane Swallows acting president Absalom Ngwenya says they will report members of the team Elders Chief Mvimbi Matse to royal authorities.

The former Elders Chairman claimed that Matse disrespected them by attending the appointment of Princess Lungile as the club chairperson on Tuesday.

“We feel disrespected by members of the banned elders such as Chief Mvimbi who want to confuse being an esteemed subject of their majesties.

We will report him to the royal authorities for his actions since we are law-abiding citizens of the country. We align with the King’s wish to contribute to ensuring that the country remains peaceful,” he said.

Ngwenya further maintained that Elders remain banned from the club.

“We no longer have elders in the team, and I am only serving as acting president meanwhile we are still scouting a new president,” he said.

We willing to work with Make Gamedze – Sandile Zwane

Zwane said this can only allowed if the newly appointed Chairperson and other investors can follow the right channels.

“Our arms are open to Make Gamedze to come and work with us. We value the contribution which she has made to the team in the past.

We are only against the ambush approach used by the Elders on Tuesday, not investors. We still need more financial assistance to keep the team afloat,” he said.

The seasoned administrator also thanked former president Archbishop Bheki Lukhele for his continued support of the red-and-white glamour side.

“We are grateful to Bishop Lukhele for the endless sacrifices made by for the club without having any position. He has been a true father of the team and a pillar over the past four years,” he said.

The reigning MTN premier champions are preparing for the CAF Champions League assignment against Ferraviaro on August 16, 2024, at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.

The return leg will be played a week later in Maputo.
