Inyatsi Group Holdings Chief People and Culture Officer, Phindile Matsebula, praised the efforts of the Group’s Chairman, Michelo Shakantu, in empowering youth and promoting arts and culture.

Matsebula shared such during the prize presentation for the Inyatsi Schools Arts and Culture Competitions held at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre recently.

Matsebula reflected on the broader vision of His Majesty King Mswati III where she emphasized the aspiration to transform the nation into a first-world country.

She highlighted that this vision serves as a guiding light, inspiring investments in the youth’s future, particularly through the development of arts and culture.

“The arts and culture play a crucial role in this transformation, as they are essential for nurturing creativity, fostering innovation, and preserving our rich heritage,” Matsebula stated.

Inyatsi Group’s dedication to this vision is said to be embedded in its core values which are Agility, Accountability, Commitment, Teamwork, and Embracing Change.

Matsebula pointed out that these principles are fundamental in driving the company’s initiatives.

She took the opportunity to acknowledge Inyatsi Group Holdings’ Chairman Michelo Shakantu for his visionary leadership, crediting his dedication and passion for the empowerment of youth and the promotion of arts and culture as instrumental in the success of the event.

Under Shakantu’s guidance, the Inyatsi Foundation has made a significant impact in the community by supporting initiatives that inspire growth and development.

The prize presentation event was a celebration of young artists’ talents, hard work, perseverance, and creativity.

Cash prizes and trophies were awarded to the winners, which highlighted their achievements and excellence.
Matsebula also extended gratitude to the teachers and mentors who played a crucial role in nurturing these talented individuals.

During the event, the Minister of Education and Training Owen Nxumalo Owen Nxumalo also praised Inyatsi Group Holdings for their generous sponsorship of the 2024 Eswatini Schools Arts and Culture Association.

Nxumalo emphasized the rarity and significance of such substantial community support from private companies.

“Such acts of patriotism and community support are not common,” Nxumalo noted. “Inyatsi has set a commendable example by investing in the future of our children and the cultural heritage of our nation.”
