In a devastating turn of events on 18/08/2024 at 1100 hours near Good Shepard Hospital along Siteki Maphungwane D12 public road, tragedy struck as a Toyota kombi,
driven by a 34-year-old man from Lucaceni Mambane, lost control and careened off the road, ultimately colliding with a tree and overturning.
The harrowing incident involved seven passengers, leaving a trail of serious injuries and one heartbreaking fatality.
Among the passengers was a 72-year-old woman from Mvembili, whose injuries proved to be fatal as she was pronounced dead upon arrival at Good Shepard Hospital.
The driver and four other passengers also suffered serious injuries in the crash, requiring immediate medical attention.

They were promptly treated and admitted to the same hospital, where medical professionals closely monitor their conditions.
Fortunately, two of the injured passengers have since been discharged, while the remaining individuals continue to receive care as they recuperate from the traumatic incident.
