The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with Microprojects, has completed an extensive E11 million face-lifts of the Hlathikhulu Public Health Unit (PHU).

The renovations included the addition of much-needed office space for several departments that had previously been cramped in the old facility.

The newly refurbished, state-of-the-art building was officially handed over last Friday by the Ministry of Health Principal Secretary (PS) Khanyakwezwe Mabuza.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, PS Mabuza expressed deep gratitude for the successful completion of the project and praised the dedication and effort of the teams involved.

“My sincere appreciation goes to the team that has been working tirelessly to make this project successful,” said PS Mabuza. He extended special thanks to Microprojects, acknowledging the productive partnership between the two government entities.

“Through this relationship, more structures have been constructed and rehabilitated, including the state-of-the-art Hlathikhulu PHU,’ the PS added.

Mabuza also commended Microprojects for maintaining high standards in their work and emphasized the importance of continuing this collaboration to further improve the nation’s health infrastructure.

“Your work speaks for itself, and here you excelled. We hope you will maintain the quality standards of your work, and we assure you that we will continue working with you.

Let us keep the good working relationship for the better improvement of the health infrastructure,” he said.

The upgraded Hlathikhulu PHU was said to significantly enhance healthcare service delivery in the region which will provide a more conducive environment for both patients and healthcare workers.
