This year, the foundation contributed over E500,000 towards the Arts and Culture Schools Association, from which the five talented learners were chosen.
Speaking at the farewell event, Inyatsi Foundation representative Gcinekile Nxumalo expressed the organization’s pride in supporting the students on this life-changing journey.
Nxumalo emphasized the importance of the experience the learners will gain at the festival, urging them to make the most of the opportunity.
“We are happy as Inyatsi Foundation to support young people in the country. We hope that this opportunity will have a lasting impact on their lives.
When they go to Cape Town, they should ensure that they learn lessons that they can bring back and use to strengthen the country’s culture and talent,” Nxumalo said.
The learners are expected to engage in cultural exchange, learning about other traditions while proudly showcasing Swazi culture.
Thembekile Dlamini from Eswatini National Arts and Culture commended both the learners and the Inyatsi Foundation for their support.
“We are grateful for this incredible backing from Inyatsi Foundation. It is crucial for the learners to preserve the Swazi culture and, at the same time, appreciate and learn from other cultures they encounter,” Dlamini said.
