The Women Farmer Foundation (WFF) has recently hosted a delegation from the European Union (EU) in Eswatini which was shared as a moment for the delegation to know about the foundation’s ongoing efforts to uplift local women and youth in agriculture.
According to a statement shared by the WFF, the visit celebrated the foundation’s initiatives, which are designed to empower women and demonstrate the “extraordinary capabilities of women in the region,” as noted by the foundation in the statement.
“The EU delegation was greeted with enthusiasm and given an in-depth presentation on the foundation’s mission.

The foundation focuses on enhancing agricultural practices, improving food security, and providing economic opportunities for women,” reads the statement.
“It also highlights sustainable farming methods and fosters leadership among women in local communities.
The EU team was impressed with how the foundation integrates these critical areas into its overall framework, positioning women and youth at the forefront of agricultural innovation.”
The delegation was said to have made a visit to the ESK factory, where women involved in the foundation showcase their skills in food processing.
The EU representatives witnessed the transformation of locally sourced ingredients into “high-quality products that not only meet local demand but also have the potential for export.”
The foundation emphasized that these products are crafted under stringent quality standards, reflecting the women’s dedication and creativity.
Again, the visit also included a tour of the agricultural tunnels, which serve as a hands-on learning space for youth participants.
“These tunnels provide practical training, allowing young people to apply agricultural knowledge in a real-world context.

The EU delegation was inspired by the passion and dedication displayed by the youth, who are gaining valuable skills that will benefit them in future agricultural ventures,” said the Women Farmer Foundation in their statement.
The WFF added that the day concluded with discussions about expanding collaboration between the EU and the Women Farmer Foundation.
It was said that both parties expressed optimism for future partnerships, emphasizing the foundation’s role in strengthening community development and economic empowerment.
