Senator Fezeka Dlamini’s Temabheka Foundation has made great impact with the first delivery of food parcels and toiletries to university students.
The handover ceremony was held at the University of Eswatini (UNESWA) Kwaluseni Campus, and it comes months after the foundation launched its Food and Toiletries Drive Campaign, which is an initiative designed to ensure that no student attends class hungry or without essential hygiene products.
Led by Senator Fezeka, the foundation handed over the donations in the presence of university officials and various partners who supported the initiative.

The event brought together key stakeholders, including Premier FMCG Swazi Bakeries, the Indonesian Consulate, KFC Eswatini, and the Taiwan Embassy, all of whom played crucial roles in the success of the campaign.
Senator Fezeka Dlamini, speaking during the handover ceremony, emphasized the comprehensive mission behind the Temabheka Foundation’s efforts, describing the initiative as a vital step towards building a brighter future for the Kingdom of Eswatini.
“It is an absolute privilege to stand before you today to witness the beginning of what I believe is a remarkable journey – a journey that represents not just charity, but a commitment to safeguarding this nation’s future,” Dlamini said.
“The Temabheka Foundation Food and Toiletries Drive is more than just an initiative; it is a symbol of hope and solidarity.”
Dlamini went on to explain that the initiative is about more than just physical support. “It is crucial that we remember that what we are offering is more than just physical support, but a lifeline of hope; a reminder that no one is forgotten, and a testament to the power of unity and collaboration.
The students we are supporting represent this nation’s future,” Dlamini added where she stressed that the campaign was not politically motivated but driven by a sense of responsibility as a young legislator. “
As their representative in Parliament, I cannot sit back and think my contribution will only be to speak in the House.”

The Senator’s remarks were met with applause, as she highlighted the importance of empowering young people to become future leaders of Eswatini.
“The future of our beautiful kingdom depends on our ability to provide young people with the tools they need to succeed – not only academically, but holistically,” Dlamini concluded.
UNESWA’s Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor Tendekayi Gadaga, expressed his gratitude to the Senator and her foundation for their generous support.
“We are very much grateful for the support that the Senator and the Foundation have extended. These donations will go a long way in assisting students who are facing difficulties,” said Gadaga.
He pointed out that many students face challenges that could lead to them dropping out of school. The food and toiletries provided, he noted, would help alleviate some of these burdens.
KFC Eswatini, one of the key partners of the campaign, also pledged ongoing support to the cause, announcing that they will be donating E21,000 worth of toiletries to the initiative.
“We are grateful to be part of this important initiative by Temabheka Foundation. Helping the young means growing the nation, as they are the nation’s future,” a representative from KFC Eswatini stated.
The Temabheka Foundation’s Food and Toiletries Drive was further praised by the students who were present for addressing the growing needs of students facing economic hardships.
